Outlet The Met Store Golden Disc Huggie Earrings

Our eye-catching earrings celebrate two Central Javanese ear clips (8th–early 10th century) in The Met collection. In this powerful Southeast Asian kingdom, lustrous gold was fashioned into personal adornments worn on the body, made into ritual objects, and traded in commerce. Javanese royalty and commoners alike probably wore gleaming gold jewelry featuring intricate embellishment, from granulation to floral motifs.
